Safety Information:
Garden Ripcord EC is hazardous if swallowed, inhaled, or if it enters airways, and it poses a severe threat to aquatic life with long-lasting effects. Do not enter treated fields within one day of application without protective clothing. The pre-harvest interval varies by crop: 30 days for macadamias and rooibos tea, 28 days for citrus and grapes, 14 days for apples, pears, table peaches, plums, maize, and sweetcorn, 7 days for beans and peas, 4 days for tomatoes and cruciferous vegetables and 3 days for canning peaches. Application is only permitted if crops are free of scales at the time of spraying and if a preventive spray program for red scale and mealybug is planned for the following season. Regions with mild climates should be cautious of possible red mite flare-ups when Cypermethrin 200 EC is used for false codling moth control. When handling the spray, wear a hat, face shield, cotton overalls, boots, respirator, and rubber gloves. Avoid skin, eye, and respiratory contact with the spray mist, and wash exposed skin immediately. Wash overalls daily and avoid eating, drinking, or smoking during use. Prevent spray drift onto non-target crops, grazing areas, water sources, and untreated areas. Clean the applicator after use and dispose of wash water safely to prevent contamination of food, feed, water, and utensils.
